If you encounter an issue while visiting a webpage such as an error or missing elements, clear your browser's cache and cookies and restart the browser. Below are the steps for doing so in several browsers on both Mac and PC.
Windows PC
Internet Explorer
- Click Tools from the menu bar.
- Click Delete browsing history... (Crtl + Shift + Del).
- Click the check boxes for Temporary Internet files and website files and Cookies and website data. Uncheck the other boxes.
- Click Delete.
- Restart your browser.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open the Firefox menu
- Click History
Note: For newer versions, click Library > History. - Click Clear Recent History...
- From the "Time range to clear:" drop down menu, choose Everything.
- Click the check boxes for Cookies and Cache. Uncheck the other boxes.
- Click Clear Now.
- Restart your browser.
Google Chrome
- Open the Chrome menu
- Click More tools > Clear browsing data... (Crtl + Shift + Del).
- From the "Time range" drop down menu, choose All time.
- Click the check boxes for Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files. Uncheck the other boxes.
- Click CLEAR DATA.
- Restart your browser.
Mac
Safari
- Click Safari from the menu bar.
- Click Preferences...
- Click the Privacy tab.
- Click Remove All Website Data...
Note: For newer versions of Safari, click Manage Website Data... Next, click Remove All. - Click Remove Now.
- Restart your browser.
Mozilla Firefox
- Click History from the menu bar.
- Click Clear Recent History...
- From the "Time range to clear" drop down menu, choose Everything.
- Click the check boxes for Cookies and Cache. Uncheck the other boxes.
- Click Clear Now.
- Restart your browser.
Google Chrome
- Click Chrome from the menu bar.
- Click Clear Browsing Data...
- From the "Time range" drop down menu, choose All time.
- Click the check boxes for Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files. Uncheck the other boxes.
- Click CLEAR DATA.
- Restart your browser.
